Strycharz in J.C. Parker's Decoy Shop at Tuckerton Seaport
Ken Strycharz
worked for General Motors in Trenton as a tool and die maker for 32 years
before retiring. He began attending carving demonstrations at Baymen's
Museum by the lake and took a bufflehead carving class in 1999 instructed
by Malcolm Robinson and George Murray. Since then, Ken has taken several
other classes on shorebirds, ducks, fish, miniatures, and santas taught
by various seaport carvers. He likes to try carving different subjects
such as dogs, pigs, and snowmen, rather than staying with one subject.
Ken is a lifetime member of the Seaport and regularly volunteers at Seaport.
