Tuckerton Seaport is a multifaceted site for entertainment, education, and maritime experience.  Throughout your time visiting with us, you will see and have the opportunity to explore many unique things. Please note that the Seaport is now a participant in the Blue Star Museums Program which gives free admission to Our Active Military Service personnel and 4 members of their family.

Wasting Time Tours 
Join bayman Capt. Fred Kalm for a boat ride down Tuckerton Creek on the Wasting Time, a classic charter boat built in Tuckerton, NJ. The Captain is looking forward to seeing everyone once again in 2010.

New Boat in the Pumpout Boat Fleet!
The new addition to Ocean County's pumpout boat fleet will be operated by the Tuckerton Seaport and will service the busy southern portion of the Barnegat Bay.

Demonstrators
Discover the traditions and folk arts of the Jersey Shore from people who have lived, worked and played along the Barnegat Bay. Award winning New Jersey carvers, boat builders, basket makers and baymen and women demonstrate daily at the Tuckerton Seaport.

Perrine's Boat Works
Watch master sneakbox boat builder Ron Spondofora and Tuckerton Seaport's volunteers working on their latest project. Perrines operates Friday and Saturday April through December.

Back Bay Tours
Back Bay guided tours and programs offer groups a deeper look at the cultural and natural heritage of the region. Let Tuckerton Seaport's docents and tour guides help bring NJ's maritime history and artistry to life with hands-on activities and programs.

Tuckerton Seaports Pump-out Boat
The “Waste Watcher” is a pump-out boat owned by Ocean County and operated by the Tuckerton Seaport, servicing the Little Egg Harbor Area.  Pump-out boats make it convenient for boaters to empty their holding tanks in an environmentally acceptable manner.

Joseph A. Martin, Esq., President
Born and raised in the area, Mr. Martin leads the Board of Trustees through a productive committee structure.  He is a practicing attorney with a specialty in intellectual property law for the nationally recognized firm of Archer Greiner.

W. Grove Conrad, Vice President
Mr. Conrad is a sixth generation “local” now semi-retired. He spent the majority of his career as a transportation executive, specializing in China ; his last position as a full-time executive was as CEO of the nation’s oldest shipping company. He returned to his beloved South Jersey in 1999 and resides in Lower Bank, NJ and Amelia Island, FL with his wife, Kathryn, a story in her own right.  

Joseph Amato, Sr., Treasurer
Mr. Amato has been involved in the insurance industry for over 40 years and is currently president of The Amato Agency. Mr. Amato has been involved with the not-for-profit sector for over 10 years and has held a number of board positions.  

Richard Thomas, Secretary
Mr. Thomas joined the Board in 2001 and resides in Little Egg Harbor.  He is a retired Chief Informational Officer for a large pharmaceutical company.  He currently serves on the Development and Personnel Committees, as well as the Antique & Classic Boat Show Committee.

Trustees
James W. Allen
Joining the Board in 1997, Mr. Allen served as Vice President for five years (1998-2003).  He currently participates in the Membership and Planning Committees and has oversight of the Seaport’s extensive decoy collection.  He is a District Manager for Atlantic City Electric, a regional utility provider, and an avid decoy collector.  Mr. Allen was also an associate at the well-regarded auction house of Guyette & Schmidt, which specializes in decoy sales and appraisals.

Jeff Daum PE
Mr. Daum PE is the managing partner of Nelke, Constantine and Associates, a Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm located in Tuckerton, NJ . He has been a trustee continuously since 1991, having served on many committees.  He was instrumental in the original design and planning of the Seaport. His interests include fishing, hunting, golf and local history.

Jim Hutchinson, Jr.
A Jersey Shore native and lifelong hunter and angler, Jim Hutchinson, Jr. is Managing Director of the Recreational Fishing Alliance (RFA), a national political action organization dedicated to safeguarding the rights of saltwater anglers.   Prior to joining the New Jersey based angler advocacy organization fulltime in February of 2009, Hutchinson was executive editor of The Fisherman Magazine weekly publication and managing director of its New Jersey edition.  Hutchinson is also president of the New York Sportfishing Federation and is on the boards of both the New Jersey Sea Grant Advisory Council and Partnership for Mid Atlantic Fisheries Science. 

Tennant Magee
Mr. Magee resides on Osborn Island in Little Egg Harbor. He is a former judicial clerk to The Honorable John E. Keefe, Presiding Judge, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. He is also a former Assistant State 's Attorney for Baltimore City . He has served as a Member of the Marketing Committee, as Class Agent and as Chairperson of the Institutional Review Committee for  Moravian College and Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania . Mr. Magee currently practices law with Maggs & McDermott, LLC, in Brielle and focuses his practice on federal and state civil and commercial litigation, contracts, and appeals.  

Sharon I. McKenna
In addition to Mrs. McKenna’s seven years on the board, she is also an active member of Stafford Township Environmental Commission and serves as President of the Ocean Acres Civic Association. In addition to running her own public relations firm (founded in 2001) she is currently employed as the Education and Special Events Coordinator for Viking Village in Barnegat Light, NJ .

Charles Merton
A resident of Little Egg Harbor, Mr. Merton originally joined the Board in 2005. His background involves insurance, having worked for Chubb & Son for 29 years. He has taken on the responsibility for overseeing the insurance program at the Seaport and assists with the grounds and maintenance weekly.  

Jack Raskin
Mr. Raskin became a member of the Board in 2002 and serves on the Fundraising and Finance Committees. He owns a Management and Financial Services Company, which is located in Manahawkin, NJ . He is a twenty year resident of Manahawkin and also has a home in Jamesburg, NJ
